How was the show overall I stopped after episode 6 or 7 and I heard it got good after that should I go back and watch it?

Been watching Knights of Sidonia on Netflix, not really one for English dubbed Anime, but this one seems legit.

I REALLY enjoyed that one...watched it all in one go. First season better than the second but both are good. Would like to get the Blu-ray if can find it for cheap...would like to hear the Japanese...
