Rear ended
 

My car was parked this afternoon across the street, someone decided it was a nice day to play bumper cars. Sucks so much because I babied my car, parked far away from everyone else, and the rare occasions i park on the street to visit family and I get hit, I was the ONLY car on the street parked, and the street is HUGE!!

Sigh... My Diff is leaking... I wonder How much it will cost for his insurance

Wow they really nailed you. The good news is that it doesn't look like any serious structural damage the rest is still gonna be up there so his company will not be impressed.
How the hell did he pull that off hitting at that angle anyway?

do you think there will be structural damage where the strut sits? I mean, they're only held on by 3 bolts, and that corolla took that tire off like nothing... if you look closely at that last photo, theres fluid coming out of my diff. I really hope they replace everything back there...

I don't know why, but there's something about having to stand around the accident scene afterward that really pisses me off.

Hard to tell but probably OK. Should be a pretty straight forward fix. They just hit it at an angle that it is not designed to be stressed at.

i know! look at the street! its HUUGE! i came out of my dads house just furious... obviously i settled down. He was just another idiot behind the wheel. It was better he hit my parked car than a car full of children. I hope he learns a good lesson.

he was a really old man, probably colour blind. The police just gave him a careless driving charge.

No driving while old ticket? He got lucky.

Sorry it happened to you... you have good perspective though - no one was hurt and cars can be repaired.

He probably saw your car and tried to drift. Obviously, it didn't work out as he hoped it would.

Sorry man. Shit is worse just because you appear to be the only car on the road. Any statisticians on here that can find the probability of getting hit in this situation? I'm willing to bet that it's extremely low. Just plain bad luck. Don't go to any casinos in the near future.
