Mike, did you find that a higher rated (or new OE clutch) was required in general for the higher boost pulley, or specifically for the pulley + E85 + track conditions?

If I've read and understood the reporting correctly, you can run the pulley on 93 octane under street conditions, but you need E85 or 100+ octane for track conditions. That's straightforward enough, but if a higher spec clutch is also a must for track conditions (or even street conditions) then I'd like to confirm this for a proper set-up.

Thanks.

It's only necessary with E85. It's also necessary with E85 with the standard pulley and most supporting mod setups.

A clutch will either hold or not hold the torque output. As a general rule, we recommend a clutch for every E85 + JRSC car, as the stock clutch will usually not last long.

Thanks. I'm running flex fuel, a higher rate pump and 700cc injectors. I don't constantly run E85 and haven't yet felt any slippage when I do run back-to-back tanks. The highest E-rating I've recorded is about 70.

Honestly, I've been waiting for some slippage, and have been happy not to experience any yet . . .

Reducing output via tune is always an option to prevent need a clutch :)

CSG Mike, why do you keep skipping the comments asking for videos?

Even I wouldn't want to make a video for people like you.

350z 09-11-2015 08:28 PM

For people who want to see a product in actual use? I'm not the only one asking and I'm sure others would like to see something visual as well.

It doesn't take an hour to fulfill this request potential customers are asking for.

There might be video(s) after the next 86CUP event on the 19th ;)

Oooooh potential customers

I thought they were just asking for track/drag videos. After all, they asked for the videos after you mentioned the amount of track time with both kits.

No need for bickering.
