@350z

Here's a NA FRS with Ace header, Ace front pipe, tune, and e85, running against a 350z nismo.

The car makes about 210whp.

I think a 300+whp FRS will easily walk a 350z, based on this. Wouldn't you agree?

Either way, your video is dandy and all. But what was your baseline, and what was the gain from the HB pulley? How much is that camaro putting down. Too many factors in a video like that to showcase a pulley for a supercharger.

However, (I'm saying this without actually listening to it, don't have headphones right now) it did look like you were able to sort of keep up with him.

It was at elevation; we get access to airfields every once in a while. :)

Seriously.

No time for bench racing, post a video of it happening.

I promise Ill make a video for you once I replace the roof on my house then buy the charger for my girlfriends FRS. Then get my pop to drag race her in his 370. I just need to convince him not to install his supercharger before hand. :)

What gains can be seen on 94 octane? im at 255/195 whp/tq stock pulley with full bolt ons (headers, overpipe, downpipe) with the stock catback.

My tuner tells me fuel pump/injectors are not mandatory until 300whp. For some reason i am skeptical i will gain ~50whp with another 3psi

Will HBP pulley exceed this? Hence why its mandatory?

If your tuner tells you that fuel pump and injectors are not mandatory until 300whp, then you should ask your tuner these questions. He's the ultimate person who can tell you what he can or can not do.

He has yet to tune one with HBP but has done several with the regular pulley. He told me i will be ok in terms of injectors/pump up to 300whp on the stock pulley. Assuming that is not the case with the HBP since its mandatory but i do not think i will see 300whp with another 3psi

Just wanted to see any gains for people not using E85 and sticking to regular 93/94 octane

Jas1137 11-01-2015 07:06 PM

I am also interested to see the gains with 94 octane. Would be nice to see some gains with water/meth injection as well. E85 is a rare commodity in Ontario.

Remember the wheel hp/tq numbers on your tuner's dyno may be different from other dynos.

That is true. My gains from baseline are very similar to other dynos. Just wanted to see if anyone has gains info on 94 with hbp.

Just emailed my tuner as well the same question. We have 93 here but e85 is very hard to come by. It might make sense for me to go the meth route. I sometimes ship the car out west where they only have 91, so having that meth safety net would be huge for me on the high boost kit.

Hey, does some one know what is the size of the high boost pulley?
The standart pulley is 110mm...
Cant find the high boost pulley size...

350z 11-26-2015 09:51 AM

I measured it before installing a while back, IIRC it was about 100mm. You'll pick up about 2-2.5lbs on a good day.
