Edelbrock supercharger is out. Need expert thoughts on it.

Calling all engineers. @Ultramaroon @Decay107 (Jay's forum name?) (Vit's forum name?) I'd like to have a review of the design and capabilities of the kit vs the sprintex 210 & 335 kits to see if I want to switch to it. Looks like it's a TVS instead of a roots like the Sprintex. Is the intake design good? Will the throttle body be easily swapped? Etc...

Counter Space Garage is selling here:

you mean @johan @VitViper

I'm tempted to buy it myself, looks like a great design, I'm waiting for independent testing in a track environment and weight figures. The design is superior to innovate in that it allows monitoring of charge air temperature, is a more properly sized blower for the engine, and they are confident enough to honor the power train warranty (with their tune). I don't like that it sits so high.

Price/performance, it looks to be the best PD blower system on the market. It won't be loud enough for you and won't be compatible with your intake. I'm going to wait until next week to see the details on the "other" Eaton TVS 1320 kit, whose layout I like a bit better.

Oh what a lovely time for the folks who decided to wait for the third wave of forced induction!

I'm an engineer too you asshole...but the Edelbrock looks like one of the best options so far to come out for out platform. The intake is probably the best intake design so far for our cars as well...All in all personally I wouldn't try and sell my sprintex for it if I had to choose I would choose the Edelbrock 100% of the time

We'll know next week, but If this comes in under $5K, I'll probably buy it.

If you do make the jump, i call dibs on the nameless tube!

Jeez, stocky, you're really putting the <cough> screws to us. Many factors to consider so I"ll start looking for whatever literature is available.

@johan said he would build us a bigger throttle body, right? Total cakewalk.

Yeah, I think he said something along the lines of "it's as simple as plugging in a bigger throttle body and fitting an adapter plate" right @johan

Something about OEMs making a big deal about some trivial scaling parameters and how he had it all down cold years ago?...
:scared0016:

I know you're an engineer, but you're a software engineer which is a little different than a mechanical engineer. ;)

I'll be waiting patiently to see what happens to see if I'm going to make the switch or not. I got mine used so I probably won't lose money if I sell my Sprintex 210. ;)
