non-Ontarionians: Do you even lap?

Besides southern and eastern Ontario, where in this great country can you drive a reasonable distance and end up at a proper track that frequently has HPDEs and the like?

There's a time attack series out east, but I don't think there's too much west of Ontario unless you head south of the border.

well, there's the grand bend track out west

Circuit ICAR - Mirabel.
Autodrome Sainte-Eustache.
About two hours from you.

ICAR has Tarmac Attack on Tuesdays which is like a time attack. Lapping Wednesday.

Sainte-Eustache has lapping on Thursdays I believe.

Alberta just has Castrol Raceway's road course just outside of Edmonton.

Edit with pic: Smaller road course, ~2.8km long.

The title said Non-Ontarians... Grand Bend and Shannonville are both in Ontario :D

There is a small track in BC as well, forget the name of it though. As far as I know, there's only like 4 west of Ontario if you stay in Canada. If you go south, there's lots.

Atlantic motorsports park, Nova Scotia. The Canadian Time Attack Championship is being held there in a couple weeks.

But we have the Laurentians AND a bunch of racetracks all within 3 hours of each other

Mission Raceway for us in BC. It's pretty small though at 2.2km full track.

If you can afford the $30K-40K membership fee followed by $4000 a year subscription, then Area 27 will be a beautiful 5km track with 15 turns in 2016. Great thing is if you know someone with a membership, you can go with them once a year for $100 lol. They specifically say no rentals.

Calabogie was started as a private track, but quickly went public when they realized how little interest there was in private usage and how much they could make from the public.

I will be shocked if Area 27 stays private for long.
