Cruise to Packwood Autocross - 8/16
 

Hello!

If you are looking at this post, i am assuming you are joining us at the 86 Meet & Race w/ SCCA Autocross.

Since I have been trusted to get the convoy to the autox location in a safe and timely fashion, we will mainly be adhering to the speed limits. However, this does not mean a boring cruise down to packwood. When opportunity presents itself and when i deem conditions are safe, there will be some spirited driving. :burnrubber:

I would highly recommend bringing a multi-channel 2 way radio. It will make the drive more fun and help us communicate.

There will be 3 simple rules during the cruise, and they are as follows.

1. You will drive at your own limit and comfort level. if you don't know that limit, this is not the time to find out. Save it for AutoX! (you will not be left behind, we will pull over and wait if you are too far back).

2. You will not pass the convoy lead at any point.

3. Do not be a jackass. (no crossing double yellows or burnouts, etc.)

These rules are only a few i adopted from my spirited driving group and they are there for a reason. It is for everyone's safety and our convoy's main purpose is to get you from point A to point B.

That being said, here is the road map and itinerary.

Pre-Meet at Krispy Kream Tacoma - 8:30AM (please arrive with at minimum 1/2 tank of gas)
Departure from Krispy Kream Tacoma - 09:00AM
Arrival at Enumclaw Chevron - 9:45AM (this is your last chance to fuel up before packwood, i recommend getting a full tank here)
Depart Enumclaw - 10:00AM
Arrive at Packwood 11:30AM

Please print out a route map just in case you get lost.

FYI everyone we can't accept credit cards out at Packwood so if you need cash you should grab some before leaving Enumclaw.

i'm gonna meet up with you at the chevron in enumclaw. saves me over an hour of back and forth driving :)
