Tour of Edelbrock and their new Supercharger! August 28th

As most of you are aware, Edelbrock has an exciting new Supercharger kit out for our cars!

I have been contact with Michael, one of the sales representative for a bit now, and mentioned that I was interested in coming down and touring the facility. He graciously offered a full tour of the entire Edelbrock facility, as well as a close special look at the new kit! :party0030:

I am planning on driving down same day, most likely leaving around 5:00am.

Details:

-When: Friday August 28th, @ 2pm

Meeting at West Wesley Rest Area off of i5 at 7am for departure

-Where: "The tour will begin at our Corporate Headquarters at 2700 California Street, Torrance, CA 90503. Please allow up to 2-3 hours for the complete tour which will include our Manufacturing, Research & Development, Advertising and Sales Departments. Concluding at Vic’s Garage Museum at 510 Madrid Ave., Torrance, CA 90501. Photography is prohibited in our Research & Development Department, but allowed throughout the remainder of the tour."

-How much: The tour is completely free of charge!

From Michael: "Because you are highly interested in the FT86 kit, I will plan to incorporate a display and the company owned BRZ available to do any Q&A during the tour. Including one of our design engineers who has extensive knowledge on the technical aspects of the kit."

Anyways, I know it is on a Friday, and everyone works, but if you have the ability to take the time off, I think this could be a really cool trip! Just let me know if you would like to come and I will add you to the list.

Thanks!

Damn, this is very tempting... Are you planning on driving straight over and back? I'm not looking forward to my back & arse taking all that beating, but I'm really considering it to get some more details.

After the tour, I figured we could grab some food or something and hang out until the traffic "dies down". It looks like a nice enough area, and close to the beach.

Put me down as a maybe. I'll see if I can take the day off (from work and from Dad-duty) lol Browsing amazon for lumbar support pillows now

I have the day off and might be interested as well. Are you planning on driving back same day or staying overnight and driving back saturday?

I hadn't thought about staying over night, but I can look into it. Maybe we could meet up with a Socal 86 group while we were down there?

JS + BRZ 08-12-2015 08:58 PM

Oh they are in Torrance. That's like local to me. "maybe" for me please!

I'd consider staying overnight on Thurs since I prefer doing much of my boring highway cruising at night with minimal traffic. What time does the tour start?

JS + BRZ 08-12-2015 09:19 PM

It says 2PM in OP...

I'm open to that as well. I know it would make the hotel rates cheaper too, and it theoretically help us avoid the LA traffic.

:bonk: In that case, forget I said anything lol. I'm inclined to just hang around for dinner then drive home.
