THIS BUGS THE **** OUT OF ME

The #1 thing that bugs me the most about my BRZ is not the "lack of horsepower", the "lack of torque", or the crickets.....

It is this stupid and terribly designed bumper harness....

I see tons of FRS's & BRZ's with this issue... Mine seems to be getting worse somehow........

I am willing to do just about anything to fix this issue. If anyone knows a good DIY fix for this or some sort of resource please share! I can't find anything.

If not I'm going to go to Subaru.... drop a large chunk of my paycheck on the desk... and tell me not to give it back till it's fixed

The only time I've ever taken my bumper off was to attempt to fix this issue... obviously I got no where... lol

Mine shows it a little bit, and I never took my bumper off.

I just can't take it.... It's a newer car......

Maybe I have OCD

If it's a newer car, and obviously not of your own doing (i.e.: you don't have a giant intake behind the bumper cover)... why don't you take it in for warranty work? They might replace those clips for free, if that's the culprit.

I took it in to try and get it fixed under warrenty and they wouldn't do it.

This is an ongoing situation for me. I was just going to tolerate it but I can't do it anymore.

Did you talk to a factory rep, or just the dealer? I'd escalate if its still under bumper-to-bumper, and if its a Scion, I'd call Scion Owner support number at Corporate. They are usually pretty helpful.

Well as of now my bumper-to-bumper is expired. Not because of the miles but because of time. I talked to multiple people at my dealer.

I can't believe nobody has a fix for this... not even on the other thread that is 6 pages long.

these exist, not sure how much you want to keep it stock though. also dont even know how well they work, just remember seeing them here a while back.

My bumper has been removed/replaced maybe 4 times now. Last time I did it I noticed same thing. Started over and got it on right. Just have to make sure it's lined up right and also make sure you put in the push rivets behind the side markers pulling the bumper back nice and tight. Also the metal strip that bolts along the top of the bumper cover, so there's tension drawing the bumper into position.

I had the opposite problem with condensation in the tail-lights, mine didn't do it until after I had passed the mileage on the bumper-to-bumper but still well within the time limit. Scion said Nope, sorry. There's no reason mileage should be a factor in that, particularly given my car is garaged about 50% of the time.

I've seen these... I'm not prepared to drill a hole through my bumper because subaru and toyota don't have their shit together....
