I am worried about the car stereo place scratching my interior.

I have an appointment on Saturday to get my bazooka tube installed. I'm worried that They have never seen an FRS and will not know how to remove the head unit without scratching everything. Am I tripping? They do this for a living and should be able to do everything right. Right

I think there are at least one or two threads in this forum telling you how to remove the HU. Print or save the pages and show the installer of how this should be done as a reference. That should help them and you.

But just make sure its a 'reputable' place... the good ones know what to do ... and will pay for whatever they busted or scratched..

you in L.A ? or Louisiana ?

Probably wouldn't hurt to take some video or pictures of the car (interior and exterior) when you drop it off.

Los Angeles.

I'm going to take some pics from this forum on how to remove the head unit. I just don't want them to break the faux carbon fiber piece that comes off.

It's a reputable place, but not a car they have worked on before.

Did someone mention a amp is located in the trunk? If so where?

Not on the BRZ. The FR-S has one under the trunk floor.

please don't get a bazooka tube... i can think of tons of better setups than that...

Also in regards to car-audio installers, look for a shop that documents their previous installs, look for installers who run wires nice and organized and not sloppy. Also ask around, maybe go to a premium car dealer and ask who they use for aftermarket audio installs.

Sorry the Bazooka is sitting in my office as I type this. For the space it uses, I think its perfect. Plus I got the one with a built in amp. I have always had an affinity for these tubes.

Just make sure you go to a reputable shop where the techs take pride in their work. I know when I was in that industry, if you were the 1st tech in the area to do an awesome install on a new vehicle it was a pretty cool feeling.
