Tom's taillight alignment -- i feel like i'm taking crazy pills

Am I the only one bothered by this?

To me, I can't help but see the two portions of the Tom's tails as out of alignment. None of the angles are consistent. For instance:

First, let's look at the vertical angles (purple lines). The tail light has a much more vertical angle on the side, compared to the turn signal which has a more aggressive slant. This inconsistency bothers me.

But the part that really kills them for me is that the two "C" portions are pointed in different directions. You can see in the comparison of the green and yellow lines above. Here's a crude representation of what it looks like to me:

Am I crazy? How does this not bother anyone else???

Edit: New exhibit!

OK so on this photo each set of colored lines is at the exact same angle. I went off the assumption that the design is supposed to follow the angles of the assembly. The turn signal portion is pretty well aligned, but you can see how the angles don't match up on the brake light portion at all. The top line isn't bad (green lines), but the light is tilted down a smidge too far. The purple line is way off--it should be much more slanted. And yellow is pretty bad too. It's just a mess.

ANOTHER EDIT:

Wtf is up with the portion circled in yellow? And why is one corner rounded and the other a sharp edge?

I've noticed it but it never bothered me enough to post about it.

Cannot unsee... now im glad I just red out my stock lights.

Lol, if they made it "even" then the taillight would probably look odd with a bunch of empty spaces.

They are made that way. I am more bothered by the fact that these are supposed to be "the best ones" yet they have warping issues on the clear versions. Also bothered that the light bar doesn't light up all the way near the top of the C.

Thoughts:

-You know that anyone could take a pic of the car and do the same thing with the lines as you did and complain that it doesn't look right.... Just because all the lines aren't congruent doesn't mean it's wrong.

-It looks like you're doing roll center calculations and diagrams on tail lights.

-What you need is a Datsun 510, then you won't have this worry.

-Stop taking those crazy pills, smoke a doob, and relax. You're going to end up with high blood pressure.

VW taillights...

Though i have to say, there are very few aftermarket taillights in the whole world that are nice and this is one of the nice ones...

You're not taking crazy pills! I felt exactly the same way about the stock tails (which is why I bought the Tom's)!

You wanna talk about nonsensical design?

As a machinist, this climate control facia drives me nuts. Either they put the new intern on it or they made a cardboard cutout in the last five minutes and called it a day. I do hands-on R&D for a large comercial cooking equipment company, and I would have to REALLY TRY in order to come up with something this ugly. :(

It's like I first milled a random concave feature almost, but not quite in the middle of my part. Next I drilled three different sized holes too close together, then countersunk them too deeply. Finally I masked off the unevenly sized upper and lower portions and stippled the concave section in-between. Lastly I finished the whole thing off by rummaging through my bin of plastic 1980's car buttons. Job done.

lol. these days, the more the design is "unique" the more popular it is. I have the clear TOMS and I actually like the look. never really broke it down like you did. never even thought about the angles, I just liked the look.

This does bother me a little bit, but the controls work, and apart from being ugly, they're simple and I don't have to fiddle around too much with them to get them working.

I'm taking crazy pills too. As much as I want to like the toms taillights, those inconsistent lines bother me.
