FR-S tinted by dealer or se toyota...

My FR-S came with a sub par $399 tint job. It still has a few bubbles in the rear window. Now the dealer told me when I bought it that it has a lifetime warranty. How long should I wait to see if the bubbles go away?(bought it 6/9) Should I trust them to fix it? Will it do more damage than good? They also left the glass over the brake light really dirty from tinting has anyone easily removed the light for cleaning?

there should be no bubbles ever,.

Wow I didn't know it was that bad, when I mentioned the bubbles the guy was like just leave it in the sun a few days. It wont mess up the glass to get it re done?

No, they should have remover for the adhesive. Most likely you will be visiting the body shop that the dealer uses.

True I just hope they know what they're doing and not the ones who did this in the first place

This is not true. Sometimes it will take a week or so for the bubbles to disappear.

OP, if the bubbles don't disappear after a week, I would take it back, if you haven't already.

It's been over a week since I bought it on the 9th.

Take it back in then :D.

And as another member said, they have liquids to remove the tint!

I'll probably take it next week sometime to get fixed because I have an appointment for optiguard this saturday. Hopefully it gets fixed without any issues.

Sweet! Let us know how it goes :)

In the hot Sun, it only takes about 2-3 days to cure. Removing tint doesn't mess up the glass; however, if by chance they nick rear defroster lines, they would have to replace it since they're the ones that broke it.

You should be fine either way.
