Popped up dashboard speaker grill
 

I noticed a good amount of people had this problem and it had been driving me nuts trying to figure out why it would pop up and refuse to sit flush on the dashboard. My dealership ordered me a new one after judging mine to be warped. Well after the swap it was great...for a day...

SoA asked my dealership to take pictures and submit them. They complied...Subaru responded back saying it was an issue with the wiring harness for the tweeter being out of funk and pushing the grill up.

So for anyone having this problem, pop your grill off, get your tweeter wiring seated deep in there and voila! No more stupid little annoyance for an otherwise kickass car!


For people who think I shouldn't care about this and just enjoy the car, kindly sod off. It's MY damn car that I paid MY damn money for. We deserve to get what we paid for, not something "close enough".

nope not yet....maybe its cause of the heat! i always but a window reflector...so that might be why i havent seen it

I have the same problem with mine. I had a tech look at it this past Tuesday, (I work at a dealership), and he bent the tabs in a little and it stayed for a few hours and popped back out again.

Thanks for posting this cuz I'm headed out to the driveway now to fix it!

Why would you even post that part? Threads like this are extremely helpful. I couldn't imagine anyone saying anything negative after you solved one of the early puzzles for them.
