VA State Inspection
 

well, i just failed my state inspection.

apparently, my stock headlights DON'T have a DOT number on them?
WTF... going to call the dealer about this one.

also, for those of you with Valenti's in VA, how do you get them past the inspection, since they don't have DOT numbers on them.

Where'd you go for your inspection? Just so I know not to go there. :(

For what it's worth, I never had issues with my GTI, and I was running Euro market LED tails on that. Sounds like you ended up going to a shop that takes themselves too seriously.

That. There are some inspection places that take themselves way too seriously. Find a local shop and ask them where they get their cars inspected, and go there. Some people just are absurd when it comes to any car that might possibly look like it could possibly ever be modified at some point.

Yeah sounds like you found an overzealous shop. I take mine to a gas station in Vienna and they passed it even though I probably would have had a laundry list at whatever shop you took it to.

i took it to the same gas station that i took my last car to. i never had an issue there before >.<

it is literally next to the police station though, so in retrospect, they are probably pretty strict.

I have had no problems with my Valenti's. All of my state inspections have been at the dealership. But 2 years of free service just ended today. :(

I took mine to the dealer, no problem, i just had to take my team sticker off my window lol

Had mine done in Fairfax and they passed me with Valenti's

it sounds like the shop i went to are jerks.
