RPF1 Bent
 

Hey guys. I'm about to purchase a set of RPF1's. I need some advice whether to buy them/fix them. The price listed is half of what's new. Plus these will come with tires

The previous owner had hit a pot hole and 2 of 4 are bent. They still hold air and the damage seems minor. But could you tell me if it'll be worth it to repair?

that should be an easy fix by a legit wheel shop. but anything that was strong enough force to bend a wheel should be inspected to make sure there's no other damage

Doesn't look that bad honestly. But me, I'd rather just save up and buy stuff new.

me too, but its 400$ US, 18x8 +45... i think this deal is pretty good, what about you guys?

Well you didn't tell us what the deal is.

But if you feel comfortable with it, go for it. The only thing I would consider, is, is the deal good enough that if you end up replacing two down the road, will it still be a good deal?

$400 including tires?

I was going to say I'd pass but shoot, for that price I would reconsider... you could get 2 new wheels in same spec to replace and still come out on top.

other 2 wheels pristine? looks like every wheel has some curb damage as well

For the rims to be dented like that they have taken a pretty big impact. This may also have damaged the structure of the tyre . The rims may also have fatigue due to the impact that is not obvious to the naked eye.

Are you happy to pay the money for just 2 wheels and tires, it will be 50/50 if the impact damaged wheels/tyres are any good even after cost of wheel repair/check. Personally I would not trust wheels or tyres that had sustained that level of impact.

I'd say go for it. As mentioned above, take it to a reputable wheel shop for inspection/repair.

Years ago I dented a forged Billet Specialties 20x8 wheel bad enough to loose all tire pressure. Put on my spare then took it to a local wheel shop for repair. Billet wanted $300 to re-barrel the wheel, plus tack on shipping. Got it done for less than $100 at the wheel shop and within a week or so I got the wheel back ready to install.
