suggest you give a bit more info like

naturally aspirated or turbo\supercharger
petrol or e85 or flex fuel

do you want map switching

do you want to be able to flash back to stock tune yourself and swap change tunes as you add more mods ?

are you interested in tuning or just want a flash and go
what mods ?

Thanks you for the input. I guess it's more of a general question of whatever you want to do, so if its flash and go its unichip or OFT, if you want a more advanced tuning I would assume people would choose ECU Tek. None of these are stand alone fuel management systems, and I believe these 3 systems fulfill those questions.

Where is the BRZEdit option?

Unichip hands down. Adds 25hp on stage 1 OTS tune alone.

I think your confused

unichip is a piggyback processor requiring wiring no flashing of ecu data, it justs fools ecu by adjusting sensor inputs seen by ecu.

flashing can be done with ecutek, oft, tactrix\ecuflash or tactrix\brzedit

flash and go or canned tunes can be flashed with any of the above systems and full dyno tunes can be done will all above systems as well.

why would you need a standalone fuel management system, i actually have no idea what that is or why you would require one even with turbo\SC mods.

No offence, but these questions have been done over and over. Which is best comes down to what you/your tuner are comfortable with and what your long term plans are. People will usually tell you whichever are best if they have used that platform.

Standalone management, Motec is the one I would pick based on what I've seen. However this is only an option if ECUtek isn't powerful enough for you. For most, this isn't a worthwhile option, but the control over the engine is unrivaled IMO.

yep that motec ecu is magic stuff, when when someone asks "what tune\ecu should i use" i doubt they are prepared to drop somewhere aound $5000 for the motec package for brz\86, i think the OP is confusing tune\ecu.

I think its likely he is going to be an oft or ecutek flash and go canned tuned guy looking at arround $500 usa not $5000, but i could be wrong :-)

i still have no idea what a standalone FUEL management system is, unless your talking something like those old apexi AFC (air fuel computer) piggyback things , dont know why anyone would use those with a flashable ecu options currently available. ?
