need donor for treadstone turbo kit

Greetings,

My name is Omar and I am the Head of Engineering and Design at Treadstone Performance Engineering. I would first like to ask for your forgiveness for the previous post, the employee that perpetrated those acts has been reprimanded and you will not be hearing from him again. All communication will go thru me from now on. To answer some of the questions/comments posted earlier,

1. We will provide a signed agreement to all participating parties, making Treadstone Performance Engineering liable for any damages to the vehicle while it is in our care.

2. Treadstone Performance Engineering was incorporated in 2006 and has been in businesses for 10 years

3. Treadstone Performance Engineering DID NOT buy-out Turbonetics; however we did buy out the rights to several of their kits including the 350Z, Scion tC and Nissan SpecV among others. We have always maintained a very close relationship with Turbonetics and consider them a close ally in the performance field.

4. As for kit specifications a Borg Warner EFR 6758 internally wastegated, with a low mounting location. We chose a low mounting location for a stealth appearance, minimal piping to improve throttle response and to keep weight down and center of gravity as low as possible.

Again thank you for all of your comments and opinions if you have any further question or like more detailed information please feel free to call 888-789-4586 or email info@treadstoneperformance.com

We can also be reached through our website at treadstoneperformance.com

Regards,
Omar

Are you going to replace the engine when you blow it? Ive heard hear say that greddy and toyota have blown a few engines testing out FI.

Who said I was a Guy?

Like I said it was hear say.. dont know if it was true or not. But please loan them your new car and see if they will take responsibility for the aftermath.
Legit question.

I think that was a legit question. That would be the very first thing I would ask.. I would also ask for that in a contract of some form.

Honestly, I think if you replace when (my bold above) with "if" its a legitimate question. Obviously this would not be covered under warranty and it is a possiblity. It is the same question I would ask if I was considering it.

Legit question.

Sources? I do not think it is fair to make said statement and then not provide any sort of evidence.

just make sure to sign and document everything if anything happens to your motor...

Draco-REX 06-20-2012 02:28 PM

I think that was a valid question as well. This is a brand new engine with a 12.5:1 compression and a rather unique fuel system that seems to be handled in a way different than most fuel systems. There is EVERY chance that something could go wrong.

And to be brutally honest, the lack of capitalization, proper punctuation, and grammar in the OP does not instill the greatest confidence in me. It shows a lack of attention to detail. And when tuning an engine like this for FI, attention to detail is extremely important.

Hear say is hear say, you dont need evidence.

Maybe "when" was a bad choice of word but no one really knows how long the stock engine will last with a turbo.

I have not, and as first impressions go, I have to say that wasn't the best.

He drives an ms3 so he's probably used to a few blown engines.
