Burnt tips always get attention, I've had numerous people compliment me on the tips. And then it attracted the attention of the police and got an exhaust ticket. But it's a matter of personal taste. Some people like it some people don't.

Since we are on the topic of titanium tips, does the Invidia N1 Ti-Tip Dual Exhaust provide any performance gains?

Noz 07-30-2015 12:39 AM

Can't it be both? I think it's rice and nice.

From a standpoint of pure aesthetics I think this car looks sharp with the blue exhaust tips. Rice or not... who cares?

Most catbacks do not have any to very very little gains. Most hp gains you see from exhausts are from the headers/if you replace any of the cats. To increase horsepower by exhaust you have to maximize air flow.

Before I was in my FRS I was deeply into the Honda scene. On Honda-Tech Forums everyday so my opinion of rice may be a little different. As a previous Honda owner you know we have to deal with the "rice" talk on a daily basis. Rice to me is oversized body kits, wings, wheels (chrome rims) on stock cars. Changing body parts from different models (skyline taillights in a civic) And most of all fake "replica" parts. Neon lights, and to many stickers advertising the real parts you don't even have on your car, oh and graffics/vinyls.

I have an authentic HKS Hipower exhaust with burnt tip made in Japan so I do not consider it to be rice. (of course this is my opinion, not here to argue) At the end of the day do what you like its your car

Hondas done right are really nice, a friend of mine owns a race EG6 that can keep up with E46 M3 no problem at all on road & not to mention dusting m3 on track.

Hondas can be great platforms to build a cheap race car. But you know how people get "its front wheel drive" lol. They can be fun to though.
