UPDATED WITH PICTURES

Been on this forum for about a month now learning all about the 86 since I was in search of a new one. I previously owned a 2003 Lexus is300 and sadly was in an accident that had the car valued at a Total loss. First accident ever... :iono: I did my research and soon picked up a brand new 2015 Ultramarine FRS from Longo Toyota. So far I must say it is the best drivers car I have ever owned! I have owned a 92 240sx with a SR20 swap then switched it up to the IS which i only had for about 2 years and now on to the beautiful 86. It is not as fast as my 240 nor as comfortable as my IS but what it does better than both could ever do is put a smile on my face. So far I am pretty much stock but my HT Auto Lip Kit just arrived last night and my order for all red Valenti tail lights will be placed next week and I will be ordering some KW coilovers and some nice new wheels in the near future.

Just wanted to say Whats up to the entire 86 community and hope to meet and drive with some of you socal residents. (Apologize if this Thread is in the wrong area)

I and most of the people here will definately agree with this statement. You should look into the Members Car Gallery sub forum and document your process of the things you end up doing to your car. Welcome!

Welcome and congrats on your new car! Sorry to hear about your IS300. I just recently sold mine a couple months ago and they are great cars. I still miss mine but that doesn't take away from how much I enjoy my FR-S.

Thank you everyone and I couldnt be happier to be part of this community. I will update in a few hours once I am home from work and can access my laptop. I hate to derail this thread but did your SR20 powered 240 happen to be street legal? I might need a new engine lol.

But really though, congrats on the new car. Ultramarine's gonna look dope with a set of Valentis and coils.

Haha Thanks man! i mean technically yeah it was "street legal" since I was able to get it smogged and registered normally but I did have a pay a pretty penny to pass smog. It looked normal enough to the cops when they popped my hood when I was pulled over to not take my car since I had my turbo under my manifold. Sadly I sold the car to one of my friends who is currently rebuilding the engine as we speak.

Nice to hear that the story didn't end up with the car getting impounded and crushed haha.

Me having that car as an 18 year old high school kid. Im surprised it didnt end up with the car impounded or crushed either lol. I had one bad experience while I was being dumb and doing donunts on a dead end round and got caught. Everyone dipped... I was the one caught. Cop scarred the piss out of my friends and I snatching us out the car handcuffing us and telling us how stupid and irresponsible we were being. Checked our records, saw all of us had clean records and in college and started telling us about the Evo he has. The whole time I was trying to figure how i would tell my mom my car was impounded when I said I was just going to my friends house to play some xbox. Smh.
