Best intake or drop.in that doesn't result in CEL?
Hey everbody, wanted to see if we could get a consensus. I have an AEM which throws a P0172B(too rich) code every now and then. I wanted to swap this out and im.having a hard time deciding what to go with.
Stock with a K&n or Perrin drop Or What other set ups have worked for you guys? I am not tuned and don't plan on being so any time soon. Thanks for the feedback in advance |
K&N drop in. Have had it for 10000km. No issues
|
I'm running an HKS filter in mine, with a catless header, and have had no check engine light. It's been about 10k miles or so.
|
I have the TRD drop in - no issues in 36k miles.

Pick whichever brand drop in filter you like the most (For me, it was HKS, as that's the only HKS part I can afford lol) and call it a day. No need to get a full on intake, for a lot more money and only a few ponies.

+1 for going back to stock with any performance filter you like. At best you can get a inlet tube for the looks and a small performance increase, or plug up the stock tube to get rid of the sound generator to save some money.

Thanks for the replies. And hey, I did get some what of a consensus hahah, everyone said drop in. That's a win in a my book

I've got the Cosworth filter, but like they said, any will do. If I were you, I'd say go with a reusable like the K&N
