The Ridge Motorsports Park: update

Some of this info many already know, but it may be news to some.

Old news: there once was two owners who had significant differences, so much so the courts and lawyers were involved. That came to a positive conclusion and now there is 1 owner and with that, development has been moving forward. One of the losses in all this was the ability for Ridge Racing School (independently owned) to operate at TRMS during the dispute and as a result RRS had to suspend operation.

Within the last year: It was announced that the drag strip cannot be accommodated within the confines of the facility and won't be built. The ownership and the drag racing community are all very disappointed. The good news is that they moved forward with a Go-Kart track that is a scale replica of the big track, elevation changes and all! Finally, the former owner of Ridge Racing School is now the General Manager of The Ridge Motorsports Park and the TRMS purchased RRS so RRS is now actually owned by TRMS and is now back in action hosting open testing tuesdays, track days, schools, private coaching etc. Another important personnel change is the Operations Manager. Many of you know that NASA had abandoned the PacNW for now after they got in trouble with one of the tracks in 2014. If you attended a NASA NW event you probably got to know Andy Tencati who is a pretty incredible guy, well you'll be happy to know that Andy was hired TRMS as their Operations Manager.

Recent news: They have finished the spectator area between turn 9 and 12 so now your friends/family who come to the track with you can see more of the action, quite a bit more actually. They also announced plans to move forward with a foot-bridge to access the spectator area and plans for permanent bathrooms and a food/concession court. It's exciting that they have a focus on this. The Go-Kart track has now been officially named Olympic Grand Prix (OGP) they expect it to be open this year.
