USB Connection
Hey everyone,
I currently have a 2015 BRZ. I have the OEM Fujitsu Head Unit that looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/cIJAvWd.jpg I'm looking at getting one of the NEX-series head units from Pioneer. My question is, how hard would it be to re-use the existing USB connection (to the right of the gear shift) to connect my phone to the head unit? As I understand the other end of that USB is a proprietary connection to the Fujitsu head unit. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance! |
get this, it fits in the OEM spot, and there's no messy cutting

Check my signature for my DIY - I listed the adapter you need to retain USB connection in the first post
Edit: If you're as lazy as I am - here: for USB: just ebay: Axxess AX-TOYUSB (axtoyusb) Select Toyota & Lexus OEM USB Retention Adapter |
Or just cut Fujitsu USB connector on harness and solder standard USB connector :D
