SOCAL Vacation! Things to do?? (SF/LA/Anaheim)
Going down to socal for the first time for 1.5 weeks.
SF from Wednesday 22nd, to Saturday 25th. Anaheim from Saturday 25th, to Monday 27th. LA from Monday 27th, to Saturday August 1st. Whats there to do for us car guys?! Any meets/events/shops to check out? Will have a rental car when we make our way down to Anaheim/LA. I know theres tons of the typical recommended touristy attractions on tripadvisor, etc... but I find personable recommendations are always better than reading reviews. Everyone posts bad reviews, but wont always necessarily praise the hidden gem attractions/locations. With that said... whats you're go to food, car show/meet/shop, attraction, beach, club, etc that you would suggest! Any help is appreciated :D |
LA.
Nightlife @ Sunset Blvd, google for shows you might like. Universal Studios, Zoo and Canyon driving!!! Hwy 1 up to SF or near. I drove from Santa Monica to SF. Took like 40min extra than hwy 5 but i loved it! S.F Botanical garden, local stand-up shows, Alcatraz! Muir Woods for jogging or hiking and for driving try mtn roads there. |
how old are you? places like Universal Studios and Disneyland are cool places to go if you have never been, but might not cater to the older age group. regardless of age, downtown Disney is a cool place to go to at night. walk around, check out the shops, eat dinner there, etc.
definitely hit up the beaches though, like Santa Monica pier and cruise through PCH on a nice day. there's some good canyon roads around there too |
31st we have a meet in Arcadia.

You might check out Beverly Hills and Rodeo Dr. Go to Hollywood as well. Universal City Walk and Downtown Disney are good spots to check out. Mulholland Hwy, PCH, Angeles Crest are good to drive on.

Go to the beach areas. Venice is pretty cool. So is santa monica pier. Can always go to san pedro ports o call for some sea food and to check out the massive ships as they leave.
