Grimspeed Tag bracket on dgm

I should have waited for the group buy, but when i found out about it the one i had already ordered came in today. Damn maryland with their front tags, i guess it beats drilling into the front bumper.

looks pretty good, I was a bit hesitant in getting the grimspeed mount but looking at how it looks, its not too bad, plus no holes in the bumper lol

Nice:party0030:

looks good! waiting on my group buy one...something about 10 day backorder. I figured a bright blue sports car will draw attention from the 5-0 so sticking with a front plate is a good idea.

offset plate on BRZ = not my cup of tea.

I want to like it but it just trips my eyes out seeing it off to the side. The important thing though is that you guys like it.

I'd not have a front plate at all if it weren't for the 5-0. I just wasn't feeling how the oem bracket had to be drilled into the front bumper.

Makes me glad I live in PA.

NY requires a front plate, but I don't run one. :scared0016:

hmm thinking of taking it off again lol what's the worst that could happen? A fine?

IMHO I'd rather sacrifice a little looks with the tow-hook mount rather than drill a hole in the bumper. The thought of that makes me cringe.

In Cali, you get a fix-it ticket and a fine, $25 I think...

I'm waiting on my group buy as well, not saying I'm carzy with the off-set, but I don't mind it, just don't want to get a ticket and can't bare the idea of drilling holes.

i think i saw one article, "SOME" cars are exempted from front plate. i have a neighbor who drives a bmw 1 series m coupe, who has a tow hook plate holder, then suddenly he took them off now its like 3mos now. the question is now, do we really get away with it? or not? cause i ghettoed zip tied my plate in front, while new stocks come in from grimmspeed.

A few co-workers of mine, that know deputy sheriffs, said that as long as you have no place to mount it, such as a bracket or something, then technically you don't need a front plate. :iono:

If I ever get pulled over for no front plate, a good buddy of mine said to call him and he'll take care of it. Helps to know people. :)

I rig the plate up temporarily, get the ticket signed and pay the $25 every now and then.
