Got my first FR-S!
Hey everyone,
I just purchased my first FR-S... Also my first car lol. Anyways it's a 2013 with 4000 miles. It's the limited edition that comes with push to start and all that fun stuff. It's silver on the outside which has really grew on me. 6 speed manual (which I love). My first mods will be exhaust, intake, and tune. Hope to be active on this forum, it has helped me a lot so far! Thanks! |
Welcome. That is some first car there. Be careful. If you are fairly new to driving make sure to take it in an empty parking lot and test the limits of the cars grip instead of finding out on the road what it is the hard way.

your limited fr-s is a 10 series! nice find! have fun and enjoy it.

Welcome, and congrats!
Thing about having an FR-S as a first car is, you're gonna be spoiled. I always had low-end cars before this (Corolla, Mazda2), and I'm constantly amazed by how different this car is. I don't think I could go back. It would suck. Here's to never having to drive nasty cars again! |
Damn, you're lucky. My first car was a '73 Cadillac that would occasionally catch on fire. lol

Welcome! The only mods you need right now are as follows:
1. Air Filter 2. Driving Time 3. Open lot/ track 4. TRD quick shifter! 5. More driving time |
Make sure to check out the Arizona subforum and introduce yourself!

Congrats! Hell of a first car. 20-30 years from now when you're in conversations with others about "what was your first car" your eyes will glaze over with memories of your first love. Treat it with respect. Heed what the more experienced guys tell you ... or you will crash it, potentially badly. Do not disengage the traction control on the street.
Do practice. Make learning how the car drives a part of your everyday obsession. Practice on parking lots. Find Autocross events where you can practice pushing the car in a safe environment. Before spending a bunch of $'s on mods, invest in doing a track day with an instructor in the car with you. It will change your life, and possibly save it. After driving on a track, street driving will seem completely different. Apologies for being all preachy ... please don't take this as being a buzz kill or anything. The FR-S is an amazing first car. I'm super happy for you. Be safe and have fun. |
Let me rephrase that.. It's the first new car I've bought lol. I'm 20 right now, I drove a 88 Camry until I was 18, then had an 01 Tacoma, then I traded the Tacoma for this. But thanks everyone for the welcome! I know I'm going to learn a lot here. I will post pics as soon as I can :)
