USA get 2013 Aus get 2012?
Hey guys question may have already been asked so please MOD delete if it has, I tried searching with no luck.
Why is that all Scion FRS models sold this year are 2013 models? yet the Aus Spec 86 are badged 2012, According to insurance quotes? This is kinda resting uneasy with me with regards to resale? Thanks in advance:thanks: |
That's US way to identify their cars and is different to the rest of the world.
It won't effect our resale as you won't be selling your car at US. |
lol.
Just love the last line. "It won't effect our resale as you won't be selling your car at US." |
Just the Yanks way of making shit up as they go along to big nose them selves, they do it all the time.

USA have been doing this with every model for a long time now, not just the 86. It started back in the 50s, or even bofore that, when they did have a new model for every year. However they have been shifting the boundries of their "year model" slightly over time. Now it is ridiculous.

Resale doesn't worry me because I won't be wanting to sell for agesssssssssssssss!!!
|
yap, no selling 86 business!!!!! its a car to keep for a long long time.......

In the US when cars are brought out late in the year they are given the next year's date. Usually new cars are introduced in September. Go figure.

but the Scion FRS is a 2013 model and it's only June.....
