Weird steering popping.
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section.
On my berz, all I have are camber bolts, swift springs, and lca. (Suspension wise) Anytime I make a hard left/right I hear a pop/knocking noise like something is popping out of place then piping back in. I can easily replicate it on low speed slaloms. can any one help me figure what's wrong? If this help, this only started occurring after I spun out at SOW going pretty fast into the sand. |
bad bearings in your strut top hats maybe. hard to speculate without hearing it

I have had 2 bouts of this, BOTH times there were "loose" undertray bolts. Happened to me after I drug/scratched the bottom of the car on something. I've been around this stuff for a long time, but it managed fooled me twice. The tray couldn't flop around, but the flexing of the suspension while turning the wheel is just enough to get a popping sound. Sounded JUST like a strut mount bearing.

NVM fixed it! LOL
it was the knuckle from strut->hub it was really loose on the passenger front wheel. a good friend who works at a shop just fixed it right up and tightened everything. WHEW thank goodness it wasn't something like a cv joint! free fix =P |
