Ablaze Red
 

I stopped by the dealer this morning and they had the 2016 and 2015 prked next to each other. The first two pictures were taking in the morning, 2015 on the left. I went back in the afternoon for better light, but the 2015 was gone.

Yup, I can confirm it's red.

My old eyes can't even tell the difference.

It's red. With a bit more red in it.

So the 2016 red is lighter?

It's way too red now. You can have too much red and they have done it. They put the red petal to the red metal and crashed into a red wall..

Looks like more orange, thus the "ablaze".
Why is the wiper pulled out like that on the '16??

I'd say brighter

The light hitting the two cars is not the same. One of them is getting more direct sunlight. You can't make any comparisons in a photo where one is more in the shade.

A while back I snapped a shot of my red BRZ sitting next to a red FR-S with the exact same paint code. Mine had 1000 miles of road grime on it. His had just been washed that morning. Guess which one looked like the paint was brighter?

Several cars are doing the windshield wiper salute. Must mean something to the lot guys.

Usually it's an indicator that the vehicle needs something - a wash, service, parts to be installed, etc. Or it can be an easy indicator on which is 16 vs 15. Just my thought
