Bulb Change - DRL stopped working

After inspecting the original DRL/Hi-beam bulb in my FR-S, I noticed that the bulb was getting a little blackened. So, I went to the parts store and bought some Sylvania Silverlight 9005 -- which their reference book says is the replacement type (albeit, the "brighter/whiter" bulb).

I pulled out the original bulbs, replaced with the new ones... and now, the DRL's do not come on. The Hi-beams work fine.
I did put the "old" bulbs back in... to see if that would work... but no-joy on the DRL with "old" bulbs.

Any suggestions on what I might have messed up during the bulb swap out? Is is feasible that the Fuse would have blown simply by changing out the bulbs and doing a test "on?" (Checking the fuses is such a PITA...)

Fuses First but in this case if your high beams work the fuse is fine. The DRLs are controlled by a relay and a resistor. The relay changes the path to ground for the high beams. In a static state the path is through the resistor until you turn the high beams on then its straight to ground.

Maybe check the relay then the resistor.

Relay is in the fuse panel under the hood.
Resistor is in the front right behind the fog lights ish.. lol

Thx - I'll check the under-hood relay. I'm not understanding the location of resistor. Could you elaborate or post a pix? Thx

Yes check relays first

Weird...

So, I opened up the engine bay Fuse Box... found the DRL Relay.... jiggled it a bit... and volia... suckers are working. Strange, but just glad I don't have to spend time with a dealership visit to have them troubleshoot. (Unless it occurs again soon... then, time to get it in while the rig is still under warranty.)
