Annoyed by ads in the tech sections?

Is anyone else supremely annoyed by blatant advertisements passed off of tech threads constantly bumped by forum sponsors?
Development threads aside, there is a market place that exists for a reason.
Cant we keep the tech section tech related?
Maybe this site should employ some moderators to clean up the site, kind of like every other forum I use.

Nope, can't say I really care...

Also don't care.

Its great that they do that. Many of these "advertising" threads are fantastic for us when we're shopping around and looking for the parts that are right for our setups. They usually include dyno sheets, video clips (where applicable), and they answer lots of questions. These threads also breed competition within the scene and allows us to discover the latest and greatest stuff that the aftermarket has to offer.

The Market sub-forum is there to sell their wares and get people to actually buy their product once they've done their research.

This thread however (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91405) should definitely be moved to the Market sub.

Also to add, the threads in question are most definitely tech related. This sub is dedicated to power upgrades. Who better than the manufacturer themselves to let us know what's on the market?

No....not even a little bit...

What *ads*?

The RSD ad is obviously an accidental wrong forum post.

H'm well I guess their marketing department is doing a fantastic job...
The development threads are great. The product info threads are great, but some forum "sponsors" just come in to bump their posts. All I'm saying is this isn't the market place.
I think this speaks well to the culture of 86 owners, $100 side markers in tow.

In this day & age I am always annoyed by "in your face" ads.

With the internet, if I want something, I will go look for it.
I dont need someone telling me what I need.

I agree. Random bumps without any actual tech. They already pay protection money. So not much we can do, except complain.

Employ means pay. Which ain't gonna happen.
Even getting permissions to moderate the single so-cal for sale thread never happened so I don't expect much.
