Ride in a Turbo BRZ

So I've recently sold my FD and was looking to get back into the JZ80 world but I think those guys have gone a little nuts in their evaluation of the cars worth. I am considering the BRZ but when I drove it I was extremely underwhelmed but the power. I was wondering how much forced air improves this. Is there anyone in the Hollywood/Los Angles area that would be willing to let me ride passenger in their turbo/super charged platform to see if this car should still be in my consideration?

What was the power/weight ratio of your car?

I'm sure some people will help you out with this. I've gotten plenty of ride along in a F/I FRS/BRZs before.

there's a few around our area running FI. they usually go to the socalvalley86 meet every wednesday night at target in balboa and san fernando mission. there's one with JRSC kit and 2 with vortech SC including me and i know someone from eagle rock who has a full blown turbo kit on E85.

My FD was around 420 hp on a car that weighs aroun 2.6k lbs
My Supra back in the day was at 805 hp at around 3.8k lbs

I know that Target well, I used to live within walking distance of it. How's the group? Are the calm and chill or do they like to show boat and draw attention?

If it helps I'm located in North Hollywood where the 170 merges with the 101

I had a Stock TT FD before, about 4 years ago and now drive a FRS w/ an innovate stage 1. It rides pretty similar but yea... you will need to go FI to get anywhere close to the next level of fun the FD had. hope that helps. Get any other FI other than Innovate/sprintex and you will be happy=) without the "Financial Disaster" stigma. Dont get me wrong, innovate/sprintex is awesome for commuting but its limited, there is more potential with all the other FI. I hope one day ill be able to get an FD as my weekend car=)

Yeah, then you definitely need to spend a lot of $$ and go turbocharged!

To be honest, you should buy something else. It'll be a much better fit for your taste.

alright. if ever, we can go to the eagle rock meet every monday night so you can check out the turbo FRS.

The Supra would be ideal, however like I said these Supra owners today think the cars are worth about the same as a R35 GTR. I don't agree, so I'm looking at other options. Today car makers aren't making good cars any more. The BRZ/FR-S seemed like the only option out there, but like I said, it gets off the line nicely but fades out at the top end.

Isn't there a new supra coming to US? Or maybe that was in a dream I had the other the night with Danielle Ruiz riding passenger. :)

If you're looking for a 97-98, Hardtop 6spd in a rare color, you will definitely be looking at higher prices. There are some very good deals to be had on Supraforums if you're smart, patient and not too picky.

Have you considered a boosted S2000?
