I just got a call from the insurance and body shop, estimated repair is $1300. Looks like i'll be getting a new fog housing and new sti front lip (shop order the parts already from subaru). All other parts are getting fixed and bumper is getting repainted. ETA of getting my car back is 7/14 - 7/15 hopefully.

I think i might be able to fix the damage sti lip(i have a friend that fixed a similar scratch on that lip) , once repair, it might go on for sale for any local brz buddies

get the fog deletes from the premium and remove those ugly things

also seems pointless to get a new front lip at this point, guarantee you'll scrape it again within months. Just fix bumper and pocket the rest

that was insurance's call, anyways i only pay the $500 deductible and insurance pays the rest.

You can do that there? Here the insurance company just cuts a cheque to the shop and there is no hope of you every getting a penny of it.

Most companies over here will just tell you to go to a shop and get a quote. Then they will just mail you the check. Then you do what you want with that check.
Most people i know pocket the cash if they drive a beater or go a different route if they want to modify the car with the money, thats what i've always done

Go to the section you want to start a thread in and look for the New Topic button up in the left top corner.
Ohhhhh and think carefully before starting a thread. Is it in the right section is always a good place to start.
