Insurance, brz vs frs

How much is everyone paying a month in insurance? Also does one brand tend to be cheaper to insure? The quote I got was about 135 a month for a used 2013. Downside to being young.

I would LOVE to have that number! That full coverage?

I'm at 237 for full. People are saying BRZ is cheaper to insure than the FRS. But I got quoted 1 dollar more for the FRS vs BRZ.

Too many factors play into numbers, as most already know. Too tired to list them from the top of my head.

Yep and it requires the standard response.

It doesn't matter what Joe Blow in Butfuk Arkansas pays in insurance. Rates are based on each individual and to compare is a waste of time. I have had rates change because I moved across a street that divided districts. So when you get 200 replies that say "I pay $5 a month" just ignore them all.

want to save a couple bucks a month?

take an online defensive driving course, spent $30 on the course, saved myself $50 every 6 months (course is going to remove the 2 point i have on my record) hopefully it will drop some more when that goes away

Now that is some advice that actually applies to everybody.

And invariably, the highest posted rate will be about 5 times the lowest posted rate, so the original poster really has absolutely no idea how much "insurance" actually costs.

Exactly! Mine just came up for renewal and the Broker changed companies. I now pay $840 a year with full coverage including vehicle replacement value and a low deductible. Anybody want to top that? (Just as a practical demonstration in how futile it is to compare)

Check your DMV for a local class. Atleast in SC, 1 8hr class for $60 but removes 4 points off your license. Saved me from getting my license suspended as a teenager. Now I have no points on my license and for the sake of the tread I pay $135/mo.

840$ seems "a lot" to me. I pay 750$ per year. And last year it was even less at 640$ (went up because I changed company to get an overall better deal on house + car)
IIRC I was quoted up to 2200$ per year when shopping around.:bonk:
