I was in that group of people screaming for a turbo or different engine or literally ANYTHING to give this car more power. Coming from a Celica GT it seemed like an upgrade, but not enough to justify 5 years of car payments. There was no way I was becoming a mustang or camaro owner and the genesis was simply becoming way too common for my taste. I started looking at all different types of cars from an S2000 to an Audi TT but I always had an immature opinion that it didn't have enough HP.
Then one of my friends yelled at me for ditching my love for this car I'd talked about every day for the past 2 years. He told me to just test drive it first. So I did.
TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT BASH ON THIS CAR FOR ITS LACK OF POWER, IT'S NOT FOR YOU.
I realized this car isn't supposed to satisfy that disgusting need for more power everyone seems to have. It's not for us 18, 19, and 20 year old kids to brag about how fast it is. It's, like everyone says, for driving pleasure.
Sorry for the long post, but to anyone who doesn't think this car is for you because those numbers aren't as impressive as you'd like, test drive it first. If I hadn't I would've made a huge mistake and bought a car that definitely wasn't for me.

Car came out in 2012.... So glad we still have original things to talk about.

If we only had original things to post about then that would be great. The new guys are new after all.
At this point in time new/original posts would all consist of "I read in Drive.AU that..." (much like you guys did back in '12)

Nah I gave that up long ago when I realized there just anything new to be said. Same as the old search noob" response makes no sense anymore and it is just as easy to point them and walk away. The thread will live or die on it's own merits.
Now if the OP comes on as a douche that is a different matter.

Wasn't trying to post something that's been said a thousand times, so for that I'm sorry. I've only been around here for about half a year or so, and despite how much I try to read up on everything it's hard to judge just how often something has been discussed. I'll try to make sure next time I post it still has something left to talk about.
