Tomei Headers with ???

hi guys,

im planning to have Tomei UEL as my headers , what would be the best exhaust combination with it? i wanted to have nice combination with tuning as well.

@Fritz zozobrado

Going to assume you're talking about for a naturally aspirated (non supercharged/turbocharged car) with a tune. So, after upgrading to a catless header (like you have), you're not going to see much for gains with the other parts (especially for a DD car that is NA). So choice will come down to budget, pipe diameter, aesthetics, sound, materials and build quality.

Header - UEL Tomei - catless - Gain + 7 -10 WHP NA on 91-93 octane pump gas.
Overpipe - Any aftermarket - Gain + 1-2 WHP NA on 91-93 octane pump gas.
Frontpipe - Any aftermarket (If catless, then recommend resonated to cut down on noise/drone) - Gain + 5 WHP if catless on 91-93 octane pump gas.
Mid-pipe - Stock midpipe or the midpipe that comes with a catback exhaust system - Gain + 1 - 4 WHP NA on 91-93 octane pump gas.
Muffler - Any aftermarket axleback if using stock midpipe or any aftermarket catback exhaust system. Also you may choose dual or single exit. Single exits are usually quite a bit lighter. - Gain + 1 - 4 WHP NA on 91-93 octane pump gas.

That's about it.

It's hard to give a recommendation on exhaust combo without really knowing what you want. What kinda sound are you after, budget, etc.

hi there, im planning to have tomei headers and full Perin 2.5 catback with resonated pipe.

or

This should give you what your are looking for. I have the same exhaust with the OFH which is similar to the Tomei and I have the nice rumble but not very loud. Love it actually :)

I like the sound of Sean's car from Goodwin racing. Sounds perfect and quiet. He's got tomei headers with the thermal r&d hemholtz catback.

You can safely factor in an extra 20% if not more increase in decibels of any exhaust when used with the Tomei UEL. EL are a different story. Great build quality and performance but have them heat coated before installing. Makes a big difference to under hood temps.
