Good: They currently have an Asphalt FR-S in a manual transmission available.

Bad: I went there this morning, and saw a small list of dealer installed accessories after MSRP.

• TOTAL $25,592 (adds $730 for delivery and handling fee)

Ugly: I then saw another sticker on the front windshield containing a hand written list of additional crap.

• Xzilon Paint Protector $995
• OEM audio $1995

• NEW TOTAL (yikes!) $30,567

Really ugly: While I was staring at the last list of overpriced mystery items, a salesman came out to see how I was doing. I asked what exactly was all this additional stuff. He said, "I don't know. They just installed it." I looked at him in disbelief. Then he told me the doors were unlocked so if I wanted to take a look, then I could go ahead. And then without saying another word, he went back inside the showroom and never came back!

This was an amazing experience I just had, and not in the good sense. I figured that the Paint Protector is probably just paint sealant. The OEM audio hasn't been installed (see pictures below), and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the protection package was. There was definitely a clear bra covering the front 1/3 of the hood, which I presume was the "Paint Protection Film".

Anyway, here are a few pictures of this astonishing find. Buyer beware.

So glad I decided not to wait for them to get me my car and went with a different dealer instead.

Did you open the trunk? I think they meant to put a plus meaning that it has the sub in it. If no sub than big rip on a stock system.

Paid MSRP at Piercy in Milpitas. Eff that noise.

Yes, but they are still going to mark it up even at that price for "labor" and what not.

Yup. The trunk interior looked stock; I found no sub or anything else additional back in there.

I pulled my deposit from them because of stuff like this. What a joke...

That sub looks pretty cool! Sports cars don't need all that though.

When I was buying my fj cruiser, I called around looking for the one I wanted, they said they had the exact fj I was looking for, when I got there, they did, exempt it was two wheel drive, they thought they could get me to buy it. Never again.

What astonishes me isn't only the absurd price of the dealer accessories, it's the salesperson who simply abandoned me when I was clearly looking at the car with great interest. It's like they simply aren't interested in my business! :iono:
