2-3 months waiting time!?
 

I ordered an FRS back in May , I was then told ETA is end of June beginning of July, been bugging the dealership this week and found out delivery is going to be end july (if im lucky), early august (if things go well) or early september if there is any problems?! I ordered the whiteout, apparently that is the most ordered one so there is a very long back log.

I think that is just retarded that the wait times are so long.. even if it is going to be long the dealers really need to get their shit together and give more accurate ETA's.

Anyone else been told above by the dealer?

Yep, that's about what I was told. Put deposit down May, they said around late July or early August.

Why don't u get your money back or go to different dealerships and see if they have any cars in stock.

check autotraders, if you found it on another dealer's inventory, call ur dealer and have them trade it for u.

I didnt know I was allowed to get my deposit back?! IF so I will check with another dealer!

Let a number of dealers know what you are looking for. My original order still isn't here, but I'm driving around in my brand new BRZ. Had it almost a week now. Guy that ordered it couldn't get financed, deal fell through. Dealer called me, I went down there and came back with a new BRZ. Make it clear to the dealers that you're a qualified and ready buyer, willing to pay MSRP. They'll call you if something comes up.

I've also placed a $500 deposit at a local dealership, but I kind of doubt they'll be successful in trading for the one i want; so I'm doing my own search with other dealerships.

you think it's retarded that you decided to wait so long to preorder given the hype this car has been getting?

i pre-ordered on February 23rd and still haven't gotten my car.

so gues what, YOU have to wait, learn to be patient or feel free to buy a Genesis Coupe or something or hunt for someone's failed purcahse deal.

Well you live underwater so maybe that's why you haven't gotten yours , from what I read anyone that had ordered before March is driving theirs right now .. As for you god help ya! But I still think its ridic that the delivery dates are so messed up , I mean if they gave me one date I would be happy , but to say that car will be here between June - September is complete BS..

I don't know how it currently is in Canada, but I could have purchased 2 or 3 of them off the lot by now (they weren't pre-sold/ordered), but I simply did not want those colors.

Kinda have somewhat of sympathy... but at the same time, I'm like "2~3 months only?" Some of the member have been waiting to release for this car for SEVERAL YEARS!

Just chill for 2~3 month. It's summer! Go to the beach! Go hiking! Party!

haha we dont have any beach's in calgary! I know what you mean , i know people have been waiting long a$$ time for this , BUT its obviusly not everyone has this problem.. I met a guy at a gas station with an FRS , he said he ordered in 3rd week of MARCH and got first week of JUNE.. so thats like a two month wait period.. but that would be acceptable because release date was June 1st for "special" deliveries.. I am fine with waiting 2 months that I was originally told as well but im getting a 3 month time frame for delivery time...on top of my 2 month ETA.

I just wanted to see if other people were having this problem, especially guys in Canada, or more specifically in Calgary Alberta

I'm in calgary, I ordered a hot lava last week from heninger and they told me 2-3 weeks.

However that doesn't matter now since they got an frs a guy backed out on the order, now i have snatched that up!
