Head on collision @ 18mph. Sucks.

Broke college student going broker.

Shady195 07-02-2015 10:36 AM

That actually doesnt look ALL that bad.

Did the airbag deploy?

Who was at fault? Regardless not sure why you would be going "broker"

If its your fault your insurance may go up a bit but least you don't need to pay for it out of pocket.

Hopefully you aren't at fault and that would make things a heck of a lot easier. Claim those winjets as damaged and get you some OEM HID's!

dammit that sucks, and I agree, doesnt look that bad.

PS: when I was a broke college student, I couldnt afford an 86............

^This

but in truth it looks pretty fixable to me

Other driver was at fault but they didn't have insurance. So at the end of the day it seems like I'm out 1k for deductibles. 80% of my school is paid for due to scholarships which is nice. I'm currently taking 20 credit hour with 1 job. My car payments aren't that bad. Currently living paycheck to paycheck.

BlackJesus 07-02-2015 12:21 PM

Well I'm worried that the car title will be salvage. After getting fixed by progressive.

It's interesting to hear what people determine as "broke" nowadays. To me, being broke means determining which bill to not pay this month because you'd like to eat at some point over the next 30 days.

WhiteFRS69 07-02-2015 12:27 PM

part out????

CokeSlap 07-02-2015 12:32 PM

This kills the 86

socal_48 07-02-2015 12:33 PM

Salvage title means that the repair cost is between 70% to 90% of the value of the car. From the pictures, it doesn't seem that it would cost that much. But you will still have your deductible.

BlackJesus 07-02-2015 12:34 PM

Haha. I had to miss a few payments here and there. Pretty much my fault for getting this car. Bought it used at 8k miles with 3.9 percent interest. Cost was about 17k with taxes. Don't get me wrong. I'm still living the broke college life, eating chocolate pudding and plain rice almost everyday. Adulthood hurts like a brick being slammed to the face at 30mph.

BlackJesus 07-02-2015 12:36 PM

It seem like the front frame is damage. Should I ask progressive to fix the car up for me or get a check and get my own parts?
