Ducking the bullet...

Having the second most ticketed car in the States almost caught up with me today. Cruising down a Northern Maryland rural route, maybe a tad too fast, there was an officer situated so that when you come over a hill, he's right there with his radar. I pulled over immediately, was very courteous, handed over license and reg, and to my surprise he came back after running a check to say "this is just a warning, watch your speed". Wow!

I don't know what police officers use to determine who gets/does not get tickets these days. Maybe not having a ticket for nearly 30 years helps? I was 17mph over the posted limit, so I was clearly in the wrong, but he cut me a break anyway. Lucky me!

May have had a call he'd rather get to.

Interesting, I like hearing these stories.

Not too long ago, @Hollwood_lives and I were on a drive through the city, and we may or may not have hooned it down a road with tall buildings just to get the exhaust reverberating. About 10km down the road, two SWAT team vans caught up to us when we were at a red light. The first van pulled up beside me and said "Hey, I know you have a nice car, but don't be accelerating like that in the city" and I replied "Yes sir, it won't happen again", and we drove our separate ways. I like when things like that happen.

One time I know my girlfriend dodged a ticket because the cops computer was down. So only a warning.

Be respectful and increase chance of getting let go. Unless you in Texas. Texas cops are sobs even with 1mph/speed limit

i recently got a ticket a few months for crossing over the yellow line "failure to keep right"

I was doing 71mph in a 30mph zoned tight windy road right in front of the cop [that i didn't know was a cop] This was not in the FRS, but in a '90 Integra RS track car with way expired inspection, DOT-R tires worn down to slicks, fully stripped interior, and a downturned mufflerless exhaust system... I was very respectful and got let off with just a warning. Not all are SOB's... LOL

That's why I laugh at all the people who say this car needs more power... that Integra had all of 130hp yet could have landed me in jail that nice sunny spring morning...

June month-end revenue bonus ended yesterday and no fast-start incentives announced for July yet.

I just have had horrid experiences in TX. 5 speeding tickets in row for going 1-15miles/speed limit.

It was same vehicle (red rav4) and the 5 tickets split between my parents and i. So much for a bscation, ey?

You happen to live in the Cockeysville area? I think I spotted you a while back.
