OFT tuning for stage 2

I will be fully catless stage 2 OFH + E85 here within a week or two, and I have a question on the mapping.

Shiv has the canned maps available for stage 2 UEL E85 if I recall correctly. I'm somewhat comfortable tuning as I've self tuned my WRX for years, but NA is intimidating me a bit. What needs changing (if anything) to try and extract more power out of a fully catless 2.5" free flowing exhaust, K&N panel filter, and E85?

With the old WRX stuff I could easily get more power than the off the shelf tunes, but here I'm not sure. Could it use more ignition advance, or should I try leaning it out a bit? E85 is pretty forgiving stuff. There were so many people on the WRX platform that information was plentiful.

Do I need to modify the valve timing tables?

Thanks for any pointers. I'm continuing to read as much as possible, but am just curious on what you guys have found that helps.

AVCS tables, you could try and tweak them yourself. As to whether you'll be able to decide what's better or not, I don't know.

On E85 I doubt there's much more you could do as you'll quickly run past MBT if you increase ignition timing too much. As for lean/rich AFRs, I guess you could assess how yours runs after the trims have set in and tune for an ideal AFR if it's not that already. We don't have E85 here so I can't help in that regard.

The main thing you need to look at with any off the shelf tune is maf scaling and afr

They generally run a bit rich for safety clean that up and you may squeeze out a couple of extra hp.

But their is just not much hp available NA max anyone is getting with custom tuning and full bolt top of the range bits is about 40hp gain at wheels

With just midrange headers OTS tune e85 you can get 30hp and with a bit of work probably 35.

after that you need boost.
