oil leak !

hey guys, i just got an oil change 3 days ago... and i just noticed this morning that my car had a puddle of oil right under the driver side????
im bringing it back tommorow morning but do you think they just resealed the oilpan or something badly????
stressing me out -.-.
thank you.

I certainly hope your entire oil pan wasn't removed to drain your oil, lol. Make sure you have a sufficient oil level before trying to drive it back to the dealer. Probably something stupid and trivial if all they did was an oil change... did you look under the car to see where the leak my be coming from?

since i put a cardboard box under the car, i just went to check after 1h and its leaking still pretty rapidly..... it seems to come from like the middle of the engine , middle back one of the screws or something its leaking droplets... hard to reach so sorry if i cannot take a picture, or look more thoroughly!

Who changed the oil?

If it was at a non-dealership location it is likely that they either re-used the crush washer on the drain bolt or took it off completely, this is known to cause a leak.

At a dealership location re-using the washer or installing a second washer accidentally (two on top of each other) is also plausible.

Good luck.

Here's a guide to doing it, the process is straightforward, it will be beneficial to familiarize yourself with it even if you never climb under the car:

it was a non dealership ive changed my oil a couple of times there and it was fine ( but the guy who did it doesnt work there anymore).
i just checked an oil change video and its coming exactly where the bolt is to drain the oil, that black circle in the middle. so i think your right !.
