Saggy bumper after accident

So I would assume my clips are all messed up, got t-boned and swiped on the driver side few months ago. Long story short, car got repaired but i had it lowered and scrape my bumper on the driver side every time i exit my driveway and i see this today. Any adive on fixing it? I don't want to install a quick release latch yet haha.

that shouldnt happened unless something is not aligned properly.
did you try to remove your bumper and re-align it back into place?

Weapon86 06-30-2015 12:57 PM

same thing happened with mine after getting my bumper repainted. i ended up cracking the paint by trying to push it in place. lol

Same thing happened to mine, took it back to the shop and they removed and realigned it

Yep the front bumper sucks a ****. Mines forever drooping unless I want to get an ugly quick release. Theres another method I saw on this forum but it looked like a pain in the ass. I'll try to find it though

I took it back to the shop and they fixed it but because i think the clips on the inside are a bit bent it's going to loosen up each time i scratch my bumper too much. I have a forcewerkz v2 lip so the scraping doesnt bug me much but i need to figure out how to fix the bumper. When i have time i'll take the bumper off, only annoying part is taking out the relocator kit lol.

Bumping this for no reason. The bumper sag was due to the shop i took it to. It was DTM autobody in El Monte. Instead of giving me a new oem bumper they just repaired and repainted it. Bumper is still sagging and every time i bring it back they just readjust it and it fixes it for a few days. This was partially my fault, I've never been in a car accident where i had to have major body work done, so going to DTM i entrusted my car to them. At first they made me feel good, said they would help me pay my deductible and throw in some coils (about 450$ coils.) I was like man these guys are cool, theyre giving me free stuff (even though i ended up paying a little extra because i wanted sts and some headlights.) Anyways back to the main point, they repaired my bumper and repainted it (which is now cracking and sagging.) Fog light is cracked, side marker area is cracked in the bumper which they just bondo'd, my side marker which was missing a A clip from accident which never got replaced fell off the freeway scratching my rims, and I'm finding over spray all over my car. My bumper was also struck (i was t-boned and they road my car from front to back on driver side) bumper was repainted, they clear coated over my bumper protect-ant plastic film. So im going back tomorrow to get my front bumper repainted. You win some you lose some i guess.

A proper place would get all new clips, and have painted that bumper cover off the car, it's stupid simple easy to take the bumper cover off and remove peripherals like fog lights. I would ask for a replacement bumper cover.

Yea im bringing in my car tomorrow because their guy that looks at the paint to approve warranty for a repaint is there. Didnt look like they needed the guy there when they had sagging on their paint job day after i got it back... *sigh* we'll see what happens tomorrow.

I sure hope they use more than zips to call it a fix from a body shop :iono:

But please let us know if they were willing to do a good job, i always thought higher of DTM

Friend had similar issue with them in the past. Eventually it took a call to the BAR to have the issue finally settled without getting small claims involved.

Nah they suck, i saw Vincenttam car in person, never gonna take it there, the door didn't align right with the body, and they didn't even replace the door sill stickers

Went today, their adjuster that looks at the paint to see if it validates their warranty had just left. Apparently he's only there for an hour and a half every Thursdays...
