Ecutek launch control
On our race car, we don't have the cruise control buttons anymore and we only have one map in our ecutek. (no map switching)
We tried to make the launch control work but it won't, is the cruise control an absolute necesitty to make it work? I have selected no adjustment instead of cruise control stack but it still doesn't work. Anyone has a suggestion on what to try? |
Is it setup to be active on mode 1?
Are you doing the correct procedure to get it to be active? ie stopped, out of gear, clutch in, engage 1st gear, full throttle. It's quite easy to forget to take it out of gear which will stop it engaging. There's no reason why it shouldn't work. |
well actually i don't have many modes, i only have one, i can't switch from a map to the other, i thought it was active all the time, unless there is something i am not getting?
yeah we did the sequence in the correct order and tried it many times. it is set at 4000rpm at the moment and it won't stop there. |
why don't you guys run an adapter to keep the cruise control stalk. Then you would be able to switch maps.

well i did the whole car's wiring and took all the unnecessary wires out including the cruise control...
I could always try to put them back but i suppose there has to be a way around it. also, i beleive you need the racecom to get the multimap and we don't have it so we only have one map. |
RaceROM Special Features > Enable Special Features > Tick Enable Launch Control in Mode 1

you have to be kidding me, i just did what you said and it was not checked, neither did the autoblip which never worked on our car. I am new to this so i didn't know about that. Let say our tuner kinda did that quick...
man i can't wait to try it to see if it works. thanks Kodename47! |
