It was pure luck. When I moved into my current house I eventually saw this car a few times, but wouldn't have had the money to pick it up anyways. Then car gets wrecked, get settlement money, and a week later I finally get a chance to talk to the owners about buying it cause he happened to be going the same direction as me for a change. I definitely didn't pay the usual markup for these suckers, but I didn't short change em either. Old man put it best:"its worth what I'm willing to let it go for."

Like your avatar! Went to Purdue for a year (2002-2003). Stayed in hilltop my first semester cause Cary quad was being renovated in a few wings. Second semester spent in tarkington Hall.

That's awesome, congrats! My uncle tells me stories about finding cars for cheap. People getting rid of them b/c "won't start, don't know why" and he would put a new battery in it and clean up the connections and drive it out of their garage... much to their dismay XD

Fellow Boilermakers are always fun to meet. :D I've been in some of those dorms. Had a lot of friends living there. I actually didn't spend my freshman year at Purdue, so I only lived in apartments during my 3 years there. Good times indeed.
