If you were to choose between Flexfuel or a full exhaust system

What would you rather have the full exhaust system inc headers, op fp
or just having the ability to have flexfuel and bigger injectors?

I'm debating between the two for my next performance budget cut after I went forced induction. I do live in socal so... everything is illegal here

Flex fuel will get you more today than a full exhaust without FI will ever get you.

When you go FI, you'll want the appropriate exhaust setup to match it. Turbo and SC have different requirements, but both will benefit from e85.

Flex fuel (and a tune), all day, every day.

I'm already supercharged and I already have a full jdl exhaust system just afraid of getting ref'd. I'm thinking about just selling it and keeping just a catback and going flexfuel.

Or.. I could just sell my catback and use the stock catback and go flexfuel with my jdl header op and fp

you're gonna spend a LOT of money getting a flexfuel sensor. if you want to switch back and forth between 91 and e85, it's essential. (with forced induction). If you're serious about power, but worried about getting caught with illegal mods, relocate to a better state ;)

If you're afraid of getting reff'd in CA then any mods to your emissions system can make that happen or worse impounded. You're going to have to go back to stock header and stock front-pipe. Only a Catback will be ok.

Still, the power you lose from putting cats back in your system you will gain back (and more) with e85/flex-fuel. I'm still recommending flex fuel for you.

If I were in charge of building a border fence, I'd build one to keep people from leaving CA.

I mean going back to stock on forced induction (innovate) shouldn't put a toll on the engine right with a more restrictive air flow

Not really, IIRC all of the CARB certified F.I. uses stock exhaust components (someone please correct me on this). Also, you have a PM.

I find it hard to believe that changing out my catback would get anymore gains either, I have that feeling of going stock full exhaust with jdm tips now :)

That would do the trick (and be nice and quiet). Very stealthy.
