Underbody and wheel wells cleaning tips?

Hello,

How shall I proceed to cleaning my underbody and my wheel wells? I do yearly rust proofing (because there is a lot of rust happening in Canada) and they sprayed my wheel well. Now its really thick. I rubbed it few times with soap and water. Its not doing much.

You can use simple green or windex. Just spray the area, let it sit for a minute then scrub.

i like using Adams all purpose cleaner for the wheel wells, once and a while ill take the wheels off and spray down everything and go to town with a Brush

cascade with water in spray bottle. spray+sit+brush = brand new
then spray with of the shelf cheap spray wax ~3-4$
then wipe down so the next time u clean the wheels it will be a bit easier to get the crap off

Do NOT use this stuff. It eats paint, aluminum, rubber, concrete, and even GLASS. Wheel wells are usually just dirty, not greasy, so simply scrubbing them will work.

Jack up your car and spray some APC and rinse it away. You should do this twice a year only.

For wheels I like to use sonax wheel cleaner, it beats using soap and water by far and its better than all purpose spray IMO. Sometimes I use it on the wheel well too, but usually just soap gun + wheel well brush seems to do the job....Not sure how much worse Canada winters are though hm
