MCS 1WNR Shocks, Raceseng mounts *SOLD*
4 Attachment(s)
I've decided to return the BRZ to daily status and pick up something else to turn into a track car for next season. There must be some track junkie out there who's looking to take a step up.
Shocks are in extremely good condition. 8000 miles and 3 track days on them. Originally from SoCal and not driven in winter here. I had them on the car for a summer and 2 track days. Raceseng CasCam. I opted for the natural aluminum finish instead of the orange anodizing on the cascam. Just liked the look better. Raceseng 1" rear upper mounts. Around 1500 miles on these and 2 track days. I never got wrenches with them but they can be easily purchased through MCS or I picked up a tool from Sector 111 that I like better. But I'm keeping it. No springs. I'm keeping the springs for the next car. Perches are for 60mm spring diameter. Choose your own rates. SOLD |
Pm'd about LCAs

LCA's are sold. Toe link price is still pretty firm.

I had the question come up that $2800 is a lot of money for a single adjustable. And it is, but these are a true motorsports shock. The only thing you can compare these to is a Penske, JRZ, AST (HVT) or a Moton. Even the Ohlins R&T is not a motorsports level shock. These are fully rebuildable, revalvable and upgradable at MCS in Georgia.
This is the price breakdown, new retail, shocks-2750, cascam-595, rear mounts-285, main springs-340, assist springs-268, extra thrust sheets-50 = $4288 |
Those that know what they are buying will see this as a fair deal. Don't sweat the hard parkers on here.
Seriously nice package. |
Thanks! It's the right package for the right person. Just might not be the right time. That's ok, I can hang onto them until the right buyer comes along.

If I didn't just got rce's t2 2 months ago, I would be all over this. Good price.

Good seller fast shipping. Attachment 113713

I'm willing to remove the springs on the coilovers for anyone who wants different rates for the setup. You will have to purchase your own springs, but you won't be left with extras.
|
Thats a really fair price on those SPL Toe arms with Eccentric lockout kit, GLWS. I would buy them if I didn't just drop a lot of money on another part.
|
I will still give the option of selling without springs.

Had some spare time today. Took the coilovers apart and cleaned them up. Ready to go to a new home.

Wow - that's a very slick setup. I'm in Chicago (west/southwest suburbs - Clarendon Hills) and I've been searching for coilovers for my FR-S for a while. I suspect the spring rates you're using are far higher than what I'm looking for, because my primary goal is to improve wheel control through superior damping without further deteriorating an already firm car on our crappy Chicago roads. I will contact MCS to get a better idea as to what you are offering and to see if the stock valving will allow me to use a softer spring and I will come back to you if interested. I like that they include the Raceseng Cas/Cam plates (which were already on my short list) and that you're local, and if we do a deal I hope you can direct me to a qualified race shop for installation, setup, and corner balancing - if not, I intend to use Touge Factory.
Either way, good luck with the sale and I hope to follow up with you shortly. |

I've been thinking about getting softer springs for these, which would solve the stiffness problem, but then I still have the issue of the car being too low for me personally. I do still have to use the car to commute into the city. While I can stash these for a time in the future when maybe this car would become a more track than daily driver, I'd rather sell them to someone who can use them now. And now that I have typed all that out, my point was, in all honesty these might not be the best setup for you. Being of similar tastes I think we would both be happier with the Bilstein B16 system. At least that's what I'm strongly considering when these sell. But that is just my opinion. I'm still more than happy to take your money. If this is what you want. :D I also think Touge Factory is more than capable of installing these for you. |
Bumping this up. End of Summer blow out pricing! Please, someone fund my next track car.
|
I'm still interested - please PM me when you get a chance.
