Unboxing OFT problems

So i was excited to come home to my Openflash tablet arriving in the mail. I quickly took it to my car and followed the tutorial to get started. I couldn't get passed the first step as it kept coming up as an error to read my car. Anyone ever had this problem and know how to fix it? i tried calling them and they aren't answering.

So...maybe for posterity's sake you can tell folks what the error was and what you did to fix it? In case someone else runs into the same problem? Like, was the cable not seated fully, that sort of thing?

Glad you got it working though.

My best guess is he installed the manager program on his computer and updated it. At least, that's what I had to do with mine.

My guess is he turned engine on instead of just turning key to on position.

That would do it too. Gotta love the passive "nvm" posts because the solution made them feel like idiots.

He probably didn't plug the obdii connector in all the way. Same error happened to me.

Does it work with the OpenFlash Manager app on your PC? If so, connect it and let it sit, it takes FOREVER to update. Try that, then tell us what you see.

Connect it to a USB 2 port if you can ID them. USB 3 caused me endless problems.
