BRZ Limited stero issue

This has been a very annoying issue since I bought the car, always been to lazy to come on and post.. I'm praying you guys have an answer it's driving me nuts..

I cannot listen to the radio it's clear and loud then gets quiet, and muffeled.. So I turn it up, and BOOM it's loud as hell and crystal clear. It's like my crappy antenna can't get good reception. But it's every station, the entire 25 mile commute...

Does this happen with others?? How can I fix?

Thanks in advance

Turn off the HD radio function... I can't tell you location off hand but that would probably be your culprit from the description you're giving. It sounds like you're getting the HD signal sporadically (like I had before) and turning off the HD seemed to fix my similar issue.

Exactly! We have no HD stations near me but I get one from Detroit as I head that way. Until I get close enough it will cut in and out of HD and go from crap to spectacular (yes even for these HUs) every couple of minutes.

Definitely HD radio... aftermarket radios are WAY better at keeping the volume the same and just adjusting the quality.. at least my Pioneer is AVH is. :)
