Mt Rainier/Sunrise Park Scenic Drive - 6/27

Some of you who came to the 86 bbq this past weekend at tacoma may have heard about a driving group that exclusively composed of responsible driving enthusiasts who regularly go out for long, fun, scenic tours around Washington. So here’s a quick introduction.

The group is composed of a diverse spectrum of drivers and vehicles. From the elderly who usually just like to cruise in Jag or Fiat to spirited hooligans who lead the pack and sweep the roads with GTRs, Porches and Ferraris. The point is, you can drive at your own comfort level and no one is going to judge you. The group pride itself on having a fun and pleasant driving experience while uphold safety and constraint.

I have been with the group for over a year now and every drive I’ve gone on has been spectacular! The view and the roads are always amazing and so are the people.

I've received consent from the group staffs to invite a few 86ers from this forum to tag along. I will be only bringing 5 people this coming up trip and it will be first come first serve.

The requirement is simple.
- Know you and your car's limit
- Leave the ego at home
- Ready for a long but fun drive
- Vehicle is in reliable working condition
- FRS Radio (doesn't have to be an expensive one)

Schedule: Saturday, June 27, 2015 12:30pm - 6:30ish pm
Start Point: Enumclaw, WA

If you read all the above, meet the requirements and is interested, please thank the post and PM me and feel free to ask any questions.

fyi, i've done such a trip with a group, great drive just don't expect it to be an enthusiastic one. To many people and other cars around for it to be safe :)

froubaby 06-18-2015 11:52 PM

I'll be in the area from July 2-13 if anyone wants to do any other cruises. I don't want to take away from this thread so PM me. I also plan on some drives up around 101 too.

You guys should detour this trip out to Packwood to watch some autocross (or participate!!!). We'll be out there racing for the NWR-SCCA that Saturday for an open practice. Hampton Mills in Packwood, WA if you're interested!

Already prepping for the drive, printing itinerary, getting food, prepping car, etc.

About 2 months back, I ran the south side of Rainer from Eatonville to Paradise in my old crapbox but couldn't go further due to road being closed.

Looking forward to meeting y'all, can't wait for Saturday!
